Orca Intelligence Receives Community Leader Recognition from Adeoye “Oye” Ibrahim Yakubu-Owolewa
Recognition honors leadership, innovation, and support for educators and equitable educational opportunity in the District
WASHINGTON, DC December 12, 2025— Orca Intelligence announced that in December 2025 the company received a community leader recognition plaque from Adeoye “Oye” Ibrahim Yakubu-Owolewa, Shadow Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, in recognition of its commitment to leadership, innovation, and educational equity.
The recognition was presented during the launch of Educare DC, an occasion that brought community members, partners, and advocates together in support of early learning and the educators who help shape stronger futures for children and families.
Founded in 2014, Orca Intelligence works across education, nonprofit, and public-sector environments, helping organizations modernize operations through AI-powered platforms, enterprise architecture, data services, and digital transformation support. That work is grounded in a belief that innovation should not only improve systems, but also expand opportunity for the people those systems serve.
“This recognition is deeply meaningful because it reflects the values that guide our work,” said Melissa Daley, CEO of Orca Intelligence. “We believe innovation should help communities thrive, support educators, and create stronger pathways for opportunity.”
During the event, Orca Intelligence also honored Educare DC with an award recognizing the organization’s early Head Start and Head Start programming in the District. The award was received by Educare DC President Jamal Berry and Vice President of Programs Ronnell Nathaniel.
The event underscored a shared commitment to investing in educators, supporting families, and building community-centered solutions that help children succeed from the earliest stages of learning. For Orca Intelligence, that commitment aligns closely with its work to help organizations move forward with confidence through clear strategy, hands-on support, and responsible technology adoption.
“As we look ahead, we remain committed to helping organizations build systems that are more responsive, more equitable, and more effective for the communities they serve,” Daley added.
